A multinational company needs Sales Engineer.


1. Position

Refrigeration Sales Engineer (RSE).

2. Objective

The objective is realizing Intake- and margin figures for the sales region (NA, ME) as established in the annual budget consultation and as distributed by the Marketing and Sales Manager.

3. Description of tasks.

RSE with the following responsibilities:

- Has commercial responsibility for (sales) relations in the region. The RSE should actively manage, maintain relations, and develop new relations (sales acquisition).

- Translates a customer request into a system design and set of specifications.

- Costing the system design and specifications.

- Prepares quotations including technical specifications.

- Negotiation and finalization of the quotation with the client.

- Coordinating all the necessary activities together with the Marketing and Sales manager and the other departments of the company.

- After receipt of orders: prepares order confirmations,

- Assists in the efficient transfer of a new construction project to the Realization department.

- Sales support to branch offices and distributors in the region.

- Traveling is part of the job.

4. Responsibility

- Tender evaluation.

- Preliminary design and costing.

- Preparation of specifications and offers.

- Negotiation.

5. Knowledge

- BSc degree in Mechanical (Industrial Refrigeration Engineering is preferred).

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in design and calculation of industrial refrigeration systems;.

- Age approx. 25 – 45 years;.

- Customer/Sales oriented;.

- Commercial and social- and communicative skills. (Good communication and negotiation skills;).

- Personal computers and relevant programs such as Excel and Word;.

- Fluent in English.

6. Communication skills

- Reports both formal and informal to the Marketing and Sales Manager regarding daily business in the Sales region.

- Consults customers, suppliers and subcontractors.

- Consults colleague Engineers, project managers, sales engineers.

7. Contact

Internal

The RSE keeps up intensive contact with the colleagues in his/her department; this includes internal staff at the office, branch offices and the Business Development Manager.

External

The SM keeps up intensive contact with (Sales-) relations, suppliers, and GEA Colleagues of other segments.
